Call for Donations to Support the 2025 DVSAS Hands for Hope Auction and Gala

In the words of The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services (DVSAS) of Whatcom County: the DVSAS is delighted to announce their 21st Annual Hands for Hope Auction and Gala on April 26th at the Silver Reef Casino.

DVSAS has been supporting survivors for over 40 years and today we need your help. Hands for Hope is our premiere fundraiser, and we need your support as much as ever. Last year the Hands for Hope Auction raised over $80,000 and with your help we can meet our 2025 fundraising goal.

Your donation of an item, experience, or gift card allows us to support the over 1,200 clients who reach out to DVSAS for help leaving violent homes every year.

Will you consider donating this year? Donations can be made at this link.

Lynden Music Festival 15th Anniversary!

From the organizers:

We are very thankful for your financial and emotional support and participation over the years and can’t wait to share with you our October 9-13, 2024 festival highlights:

The Four Freshman will be headlining our festival this year! This legendary group needs no introduction! Their unique sound strongly influenced Manhattan Transfer, Take 6 and the Beach Boys. Although the names and faces have changed over the last nearly 75 years, the harmony and legendary sound of them continue to fascinate audiences worldwide and we are so lucky to have them perform at the WECU Building at the Lynden Fairgrounds for two concerts.
Henry Mancini is having his own special 100 year anniversary this year so in honor him the Dimitri Matheny’s Jazz Group will be playing many of his famous musical pieces; Moon River etc.
Another highlight is the talented Folkert-Hans Tolsma from the Netherlands performing for all ages, young and old. You won’t want to miss the fun with his energetic music!

Our webpage www.lyndenmusicfestival.com is up and running! Check the schedule and tickets.

We appreciate each one of you and thank you for making this event possible. See you in couple months for our Fifteenth Anniversary fantastic festival!

AND Before it, please join us for our Fundraising event on Sat, Sept 7th. We fill our downtown with lots of live music!!! The Event | Lynden Whiskey Event
