SUPPORT THE ARTS
LEARN ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS & EVENTS
The primary purpose of the Allied Arts Education Project (AAEP) is to provide Whatcom County schools with professionally taught arts education projects. Each year our program conducts workshops in dance, theatre and the visual arts in the Bellingham schools and throughout Whatcom County. We align our arts lessons with the state standards and curriculum.
May is Washington State Arts Education Month. Join us on the first Friday in May to kick off our celebration with the Bellingham Children’s Art Walk presented by Allied Arts of Whatcom County. For the first two weeks in May, stroll through downtown where over 50 businesses will be exhibiting works by youth created in schools througout Whatcom County.
Allied Arts Reuse Thrift Store is a program that is seeking to benefit the community in Whatcom County. The purpose of this store is to sell re-used products or materials to make arts, to explore creatively, and to have new conceptions of art. Items for sale are collected through donations, and sold at lower costs or are re-purposed in our Arts Education Project.
