The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is accepting applications for our 2025 featured poster artist!
To apply, artist should submit a small portfolio of their work (no originals, please and colored photocopies are great), a resume, and a letter of interest/introduction to the festival by August 1, 2023. Application packets can be mailed to Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, PO Box 1784, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
We will review all interested applicants in August and bring in 3-5 artists for a in-person interview in September. We plan on selecting our 2025 artist by the end of September. Once we select the artist, we will commission a piece of art. We pay $2,500 for all rights to the piece; in return our featured artist has their work on everything from brochures to mugs to posters to t-shirts and will get a lot of exposure on our website (500,000+ visits this past year), on our Facebook page (followed by over 87,000 people) and on our Instagram site (with over 20,000 followers). In addition our featured artist is our guest of honor at the annual poster unveiling held each fall.
