Ancient civilizations recognized our need for scared space as part of our human condition. Peoples throughout the world therefore have created these spaces as a reflection of their culture and have used them historically for ceremonies, mindful meditation, and prayer. In this talk by Emily Russamenti we will experience sacred spaces throughout Asia, Africa, and the Middle East through the lens of photographs and travel stories, gaining a deeper understanding of sacred architecture and the unique cultures that created them. Co-presented by Bellingham Parks & Recreation. Light refreshments served. No need to pre-register, just bring your curiosity!
