Join Allied Arts of Whatcom County on May 5h to #GivingTuesdayNow for support of our local teaching artists and programs!
Early giving for #GivingTuesdayNow has begun! Visit the our donation page at GiveBIGWa, between now and May 5th to make a donation in support quality Arts Education in our local schools.
Allied Arts of Whatcom County depends on your generosity to continue our work of providing quality curriculum art, performance, music and literary classes and residencies to schools throughout Whatcom County. This year, our goal is to raise $10,000 to help support our 15 fabulous teaching artists who had over 466 hours of arts in the classroom time canceled due to Covid-19. These dedicated artists rely on those hours as a major source of their income.
“I loved watching the kids try on different roles. It changed my perception of them, and their perception of each other. They STILL play those games at recess.” Wade King Elementary 5th grade teacher.
Our other programs have suffered as well; we are currently working to expand our web sites and establish an on-line store to sell artwork that should have been on display in our gallery exhibits and the thousands of pieces of artwork by area youth during the Children’s Art Walk.
Seattle Foundation’s annual day of giving is going strong and with your help, we hope to make this #GivingTuesdayNow the biggest one yet! Donate here today!
Thank you for your continued support of Arts Education and Allied Arts of Whatcom County.
