A five session class once a week class designed for the next step in the beginning metalsmith’s curriculum.
Improve and increase your basic skills in soldering and metalsmithing with this more advanced class. New
techniques will be taught to further advance the beginning student in their progress as a jeweler/metalsmith.
Discover forging and forming of metals using hammers and stakes, piercing and use of the jeweler’s saw,
sanding, polishing, filing and finishing techniques, and create an overlay ring design to be taken home at the
end of the class schedule. Prerequisites: Beginning 1 class (or other beginning class equivalent) & 18 years or older. Instructor: Sacha Bliese.
