Alley Arts: Be a Part of Creating Public Art!

Allied Arts of Whatcom County is proud to announce the second annual Alley Arts Mural Project

Fabulous local artists will be leading the community in the creation of murals to be installed in the alley behind Allied Arts (1400 block between Railroad and Cornwall Ave.) The event will be Friday, October 4th from 4pm to 7pm. The creations will be made along the 1400 block of Cornwall Ave between Magnolia Avenue and Champion Street.

The hosting artists, Kathryn Hackney and Jason Darling, will be outlining the over all look of the murals and utilizing your help to create it. They will be using a variety of different artistic mediums as well as dimensional components. This year’s inspiration for the murals is coming from the documentary Trash Dance, showing October 10th at 5:45 at the Pickford Theater. Click here for more information about Trash Dance.

This project is part of Creative Spaces which is funded in part by the Whatcom Community Foundation.
