Kamada's show, Intersection is part of an ongoing series of paintings inspired by walks through the cityscape. The ambiguity of her images reflects the confusion of our world and the temporal quality of our lives. Kamada is intrigued by how an arrangement of shapes and lines - figures and cars - comes together.
Many of the artist's painting show actual street intersections. The paintings show the beauty in our modern world along with representing the intersection between our consumer needs and our own spirituality.
The public is invited to the opening night celebration at the Allied Arts Gallery and the Downtown Art Walk: Friday July 3rd from 6pm to 10pm. Join us for an Exhibit Walk-Thru with the artist on opening night from 6pm to 7pm.
