Mindport Exhibits

BellinghamART Summer Camps and Workshops

BellinghamART classes reflect a conviction that anyone, at any age, can learn to draw and paint. Whether you’re new to BellinghamART or have been coming for years, you’ll learn new skills and have fun creating art. Each camp includes all your art materials, tools and a daily nutritious snack.

Spring Break Art Camps for Children and Teens: April 1st - 4th 2013

For Ages 4 and 5: Tuesday thru Thursday, 10 am to 12 pm

Cost is $85 (this is a 3 day class and is limited to 10 chuldren)

For Ages 5 1/2 to 8: Monday thru Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm

Cost is $148 (each camp is limited to 10 children)

For Ages 8 to 12: Monday thru Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm

Cost is $148 (each camp is limited to 12 children)

For Teenagers: Monday thru Thursday, 1 pm to 4 pm

Cost is $148 (each camp is limited to 12 teens)

Pace Atelier Art Studio Summer Camps

 

Pace Atelier is enrolling for fun, fabulous and exciting summer art camps for kids ages 4-teens. Media choices include: ceramics, mixed media sculptures, papier-mache, paper making, printmaking, found object sculptures, plaster and stone carving, painting, drawing and more! Missoula Children’s Theater Summer Camps at Mount Baker Theatre

 

The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT), the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, has been touring extensively for 38 years now from Montana to Japan. This will be their 13th visit to MBT. The tour team will arrive at the Mount Baker Theatre with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put on a play...except the cast. Each camp consists of 50-60 local students who rehearse throughout the week and present two public Saturday performances on the Main Stage. Everybody Bike

Whatcom Museum School's Out! Summer Art Camp

Our theme-based Summer Art Camps feature four three-hour sessions during which children will learn to work with a variety of art mediums. Visits to the Whatcom Museum’s galleries are included to enrich the child’s knowledge of fine arts. In addition to making art every day, children are encouraged to interact, talk, and learn about the history of art, its role in society and how it affects our daily lives. Each session is conducted by guest instructional artist, Gabriel Miles. Light snacks and refreshments will be served at each session and admission to the museum is included. Art projects will be taken home at the end of the session. Sessions will not be repeated. figinfo@cob.org

Creativity Camp


Fingers become nimble and minds expand as kids create beautiful objects through a diverse grouping of projects. Children will enjoy a solid and varying rhythm of activities balanced with daily walks to local parks and the beach for outside fun.  Pottery, Felting, Painting, Recycled and Nature Art will provide for a very creative week! The camp will be held at the home of teaching artist Sandra Loeffelmann, 3026 Cedarwood Avenue in the Birchwood Neighborhood.Ages:  8 - 12.    Materials and Firing included.   Snacks provided.   Please bring lunch, a bottle of water and good walking shoes.

Grades 3-5 -- Audition, rehearse for and perform a fun and goose-bump raising mystery! July 2-6 10:00-2:00 with a presentation on Friday the 6th at 2:00.  $195

 

" Camp Comedy 3-D”

Grades 6-12 -- our annual variety show with skits, improv and lots of laughs!

July 23-27 10:30-2:30 with the perfor mance on that Friday at 2:00 or 2:30.  $195

 

Summer Production Camp, "The Secret Garden

Grades 6-12 -- Audition, rehearse for and perform a wonderful musical (not the Broadway version) based on the classic novel. July 2-14 10-3:30 with three public perfor mances (Fri., the 13th at 5:00 and Saturday at 2:00 and 5:00) $275

Adult Vocal Improvisation/Scat Singing Workshop


This five day intensive solo-singing workshop will focus on improvisational and scat singing skills with the Northwest’s best performers/teachers and masters of scat: Greta Matassa, Jennifer Scott, Cheryl Hodge, Frank DeMiero, guitarist John Stowell, and more! Ann MacDonald will lead the vocal technique sessions at the beginning of each evening, followed by a session with one of the guest artists, who will share their substantial knowledge and experience in scat-singing/ improvisation. The Jazz repertoire will be pre-selected by our guest instructors. Participants will have the opportunity to perform both in class and in an informal recital on Friday night.

Come experience the passion and fun of these highly informative and hands-on group vocal sessions with Ann MacDonald. Repertoire will be provided and each singer will have the opportunity to perform in class and also during the informal recital.
