Enlightening the Arts!
Allied Arts is now accepting contributions for the Enlightening the Arts - artist enhanced lamp shades! This is Allied Arts’ primary bi-annual fundraiser for our Arts Education Program - one of the largest collaborative arts education programs in the state!
Enlightening the Arts is an indoor, two week long silent auction showcasing talents from many local artists. Each artist decorates a lampshade to contribute to the auction.
The auction kicks off the night of the Bellingham Art Walk, April 6th, and stays on exhibit for two weeks. The exhibition concludes on April 21st, at a reception in conjunction with the Allied Arts Recycled Art Resource Expo, RARE! The exhibition will be held at EXIT Realty Associates, 1419 Cornwall Avenue, Downtown Bellingham.
Free Lampshades are passed out at the Allied Arts Gallery on a first-come-first-serve basis, so make sure to pick yours up early! Participating artists will also get a one-time 20% discount to the allied arts reuse thrift store on the day they pick up their lamps!
We encourage all artists of any level or medium to participate. Please drop off your finished lampshade to the gallery April 2-4 (10:00-5:00) the week before the exhibition.
