Community Partnership
During the past nine years AAEP has partnered with Parent-Teacher Organizations and the Bellingham, Lynden, Blaine, Ferndale, Meridian, and Mount Baker school districts. Cooperative planning with district personnel and local arts organizations has deepened the understanding of educational needs allowing AAEP to create wellplanned, broad-based arts offerings that have significant impact on our children’s arts education.
Arts organization partnerships include long-time coalitions with the Whatcom Museum of History and Art, the Whatcom Children’s Museum, Western Washington University, and the historic Mount Baker Theater.
New partners include the American Museum of Radio and Electricity, the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra, and RE Sources for Sustainable Communities.
These collaborations allow us to build strong, more comprehensive arts education for Whatcom County students. You will find many offerings in this roster that combine our artists workshops with other education and arts-based programs.
