Allied Arts Annual Member Show
Allied Arts of Whatcom County will host its 2012 Members Show in January. Participation is open to all current Allied Arts Members at any level of membership.
Download a PDF version of the form here or pick one up at the Allied Arts Gallery. Drop off of work will be Monday and Tuesday, January 2nd and 3rd, 10am to 6pm. Depending on the response, Allied Arts may need to limit the number of pieces submitted for the show and will consider first come, first accepted. Artists can sign up for membership on drop off day.
Work meant to hang on a wall cannot exceed 30 inches in any direction and must have a wire or hook in place to easily hang it. Sculpture or items meant to stand on a pedestal/table will be permitted but we have very limited space. Please discuss your work with Katy Borden (676-8548 x5 or katy@alliedarts.org) to have it approved before you drop it off. Sculpture not approved by Allied Arts Staff may be turned away on drop off day.
Allied Arts will be again be hosting its traveling art show called ‘Wild About Whatcom’ starting in February, 2012. The show will feature 50 selected pieces of work (wall art only) from the January members show. The exhibit will consist of five rotating shows (10 artists each), each 6 weeks long, in five locations around Whatcom County and will take place between February and September 2012. After their trip around Whatcom County, works will be displayed for 3 months at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
