12th Annual Children's Art Walk!

Each year Whatcom County celebrates student art in downtown Bellingham businesses. Families and community members alike enjoy the opportunity to come together to appreciate the creativity of our children. See below for a list of performances, exhibits and events going on during the Art Walk! (or click here to download a PDF version of this list)

Puppets
See 70 puppets made by students at Northern Heights,
 participate in writing exercises, do character sketches
and be the star of your own puppet show

    Art Activities and Entertainment

Mount Baker Theatre
See a performance by Kid’Sax Quartet at 6:00
followed by a scene from Goodnight Moon by the
Neighborhood Playhouse at 7:00pm
Stamp and draw African animals in a free workshop

Whatcom Museum
Hear elementary choirs and bands from 6:30-8:30pm, and have
FREE fun with clay in the Art Studio

Amadeus Project
See students perform live throughout the Art Walk

Waterfront Studios
See a puppet performance by skilled teaching artists
Andy Koch and Christian Smith at 7:30pm

Bellingham Children’s Theater
Performing Just Right for Right Now at 7pm
$12 for adults, $6 for children, tickets sold at the door

Presence Studio
Sing and dance along with The Loofas performing live
children’s music for free

1300 Cornwall in front of Jakemart
Bellingham Youth Jazz Band performing at 6:00  

The art remains on exhibit during the month of May, which is Washington State Arts in Education month.
