The Bellwether Arts Market is a collaborative market series between Allied Arts of Whatcom County and the Port of Bellingham Featuring hand-made, juried arts and crafts from our region’s best artists, free performances from local musicians, and family friendly creative activities taught by local Art Educators. Every Sunday afternoon this August, come down to the Tom Glenn Common and enjoy our talented local artists and beautiful location.

Come enjoy traditional New Orleans jazz performed by the Halleck Street Ramblers, a group of local musicians interested in insuring the presence New Orleans style jazz on the Bellingham music scene. Check out the Ramblers playing "Bedelia"

Robert Sarazin Blake
200 shows a year! Robert Sarazin Blake has spent the past 15 years singing, strumming, and writing folk songs while touring around Ireland and the US. Listen to a few of Robert's songs!
The Badd Dog Blues Society
An up-tempo four-to-five piece ensemble of Bellingham musicians sure to please blues lovers everywhere. You’ll be in for an afternoon to remember as Andy Koch and his band dance, sing, and howl the day away. Hear a sample of what the Badd Dog Society sounds like.
Alt-folk indie-pop singer songwriter Seattle-based Jean Mann has a lot to write and sing about, come enjoy eclectic instruments and a voice that creates a homey, intimate environment. Jean's music plays on her website, give it a listen.
Happy Valley Sluggers
Come listen to some old-time Southern dance and fiddle music, as well as Louisiana Cajun tunes from this Bellingham-based ensemble. Here's a clip of the Slugger's music on Youtube!
From cello to guitar, Matt Rehfeldt has performed concertos with orchestras, rocked out electrifying guitar concerts, and is sure play a performance to remember. Check out what Matt sounds like on his website.
Bellingham Youth Jazz Band
Consisting of twenty nine 6th - 9th grade students from ten Whatcom County schools, the Bellingham Youth Jazz Band begins its twelfth year under the direction of Mark Kelly, playing 40 concerts over the summer! Learn more about the Bellingham Youth Jazz Band and the Jazz Project.
Pretty Little Feet
Take a trip back in time with Pretty Little Feet! The duo plays old-time song and tune ranging from the traditional canon, to artists of bygone radio, to original compositions. Preview their discography and hear samples of their tunes.
Playing roots music from Ireland, England, Quebec, Scandinavia, and France, as well as original compositions, Lindsay Street delivers rich and varied arrangements that connect the old and the new. Listen to some of their songs!
Dana Lyons is a folk music and alternative rock musician, known for his environmentalist song "Our State Is a Dumpsite.” He has moved from folk music into alternative rock with the album Cows With Guns. Preview songs from Dana's albums by clicking them on his website.
Want to spend some time with the awesome staff and volunteers at Allied Arts? Luckily, we are looking for some amazing volunteers to help make this year’s event another success! Volunteers can help with event set-up or take down, or can serve as a general event volunteer or youth activity assistant. Shifts are between 2 – 3 hours in the morning or afternoon; more than one shift may be worked.
Event Set Up
7:30am-10:00pm; assist with set up of tents, signage, parking, etc.
Event Volunteer Staff:
10:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm; greet visitors, staff the information table, provide breaks for vendors, etc.
Youth Activity Assistant
10:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm; assist Art Educators with youth art activities
Event take Down
4:00pm-6:00pm; assist with take down of tents, signage, etc.
